Why You Need To Know The Cost Of Building Your Home
If you buy a set of house plans, get bids, and then find out that you cannot afford to build that home, you may have lost the cost of the home plans, but you have not lost your dream! You can then get another set of plans for a home you can afford!
How You Can Lower the Risk of Home Building Further!
If you wish to lower the risk of buying home plans you may not be able to use, we will provide an estimate of the homebuilding cost for any of the home plans that are displayed on this site. We will adjust the cost to your city and state in the U.S. or Canada.
You may find other sites that offer free estimates, but you will find that they use a simple square foot price for all homes regardless of amenities, whether it has a basement or not, a garage or not, brick or vinyl siding, or even whether it is one or two story!
They expect you to believe the cost is the same!
We estimate each house plan individually, based on its unique features and with the materials actually used in building the home!
We guarantee the new home estimate will be sent to you via E-mail within 48 hours, (usually within 24 hours).

The homebuilding estimate will include the cost of material as specified in the house plans or national averages where they are not specified, (such as fixtures, carpet and cabinets), labor costs for skilled labor in your area, the cost of house plans, and assumes a general contractors profit. If you act as your own general contractor, you should deduct the profit.
The estimates will be separated into the
major building phases with labor and material for each.
(Except for the garage plans noted below)
Labor, material and total columns for each appropriate category will be provided allowing you to estimate the savings if you can do some of the work yourself.
Total labor and material will also be provided in the estimate.
The square foot cost for each home will be provided, except for the garage plans noted below.
The estimate will not reflect the cost of the lot, special site conditions which we are unaware of, such as rock or tree removal, sloping lots, flood plains or the cost of excessive fill. The estimate will assume municipal services, and therefore, not include a well or septic system.
Best Uses
Best uses are to determine if you can afford a particular home before you
invest in plans,
and to approximate savings if you can do some
of the work yourself.
You may also compare the estimate to bids you get from contractors.
We have nothing to gain by making
an estimate higher or lower than it really is!
It is our honest opinion. We are not trying to build or contract your home!
